St Jasper – Birds (Video)

St Jasper is the artist moniker of London based singer and songwriter Jamie Johnson. The name comes from the fishing trawler that his Grandad used to sail in. His debut single explores mental health, something that we’ve become all too familiar with during lockdown. “I wanted to write something which offered an exploration of one person’s experiences,” explains St Jasper, “reflecting on their struggles and in particular their need for close support.” He recorded the song via Zoom with producer his Louis Milburn (Fake Laugh/Folly Group). It is taken from St Jasper’s forthcoming debut EP, which will be released in the Spring. “Birds” is out now on Apple Music and Spotify.
