Young Thug has today released his much anticipated new album, Punk. Despite the album’s title, Thugga hasn’t suddenly switched genre. The title is perhaps an acknowledgement of Thugga’s rebellious nature – his bravery and willingness to go against the grain. Punk is still very much a Hip Hop album but it has an heavy melodic pop inspired sound.
Despite Young Thug’s stature and influence over the years, Punk is only his second album. He has however released a number of collaborative projects since his 2019 debut album, So Much Fun, most recently Slime Language 2.
Punk includes a heavyweight list of featured artists including Drake, Travis Scott, J. Cole, Future, Gunna, Post Malone, ASAP Rocky and Doja Cat. Punk is out now on Apple Music and Spotify, you can listen to it in full below.
