Rapper and producer Baby Keem has today released his debut album, The Melodic Blue. It is the first project to be released on his cousin, Kendrick Lamar’s pgLang imprint. The album features Travis Scott, Don Toliver and of course Kendrick Lamar is on there too.
It has a warped and playful take Trap music, with Keem experimenting with voices and flows throughout it. The beats are energetic and change within some of the songs meaning you never quite know what to expect. “family ties” is a great example of that, the album also includes “durag activity” and new song “issues”.
The Melodic Blue is out now on Apple Music and Spotify.
