Lola Young retells the story of a tragic relationship on her evocative new single, “Bad Tattoo”. “I wrote about falling in love and not knowing whether it’s going to last,” Lola says. It touches on the instances where the things don’t, for one reason or another, work out. And, “coming to peace with the fact that it can leave you scarred like a real bad fucking tattoo,” Lola explains.
While a full instrumental version of the song is available, it’s her piano led stripped back version that really brings this song to life. The live session was filmed at The Church Studio where Lola has been working on new music over the past year. This version of the song brings out the emotion of the song and allows Lola’s vocals to shine more too. “Bad Tattoo” is out now on Apple Music and Spotify.
