Timaj Garad is an Ethiopian singer-songwriter and poet that’s based in Toronto. Having spent 15 years performing and writing as a spoken word artist, she is now returning to her musical roots. Her new single, “Black Gold”, is an empowering track blending wonderful poetry with Hip Hop and soulful R&B. The verses on this are so good, I can’t wait to hear more from her. “Black Gold” is taken from her forthcoming debut EP, Blooming at the Mouth, which is set to be released on March 5th.
