Madlib has today released his new album, Sound Ancestors, which he worked on with Four Tet. Madlib is notorious for his output, he is always working on something new. A few years ago Four Tet heard some of his unreleased stuff in a studio session and had the idea for a Madlib solo album. “We decided to work on this together with him sending me tracks, loops, ideas and experiments that I would arrange, edit, manipulate and combine,” explains Four Tet. “I was sent hundreds of pieces of music,” he adds, “and during that time | put together this album with all the parts that fitted with my vision.” The album includes previous singles “Road of the Lonely Ones”, “Hopprock” and “Dirtknock”.
