“bop it up” is the second song and video in just as many weeks from independent Psychedelic Soul duo, The Marías. The track follows the soulful and groovy, “Care For You”, which is also accompanied by an intriguing video. María explains, “‘bop it up!’ is a reflection of that uncertainty and conflict, both within ourselves and with our perception of the world. ‘bop it up!’ Is a feeling. It’s a feeling of ‘fuck it.” She concludes, “‘bop it up!’ is me trying not to care and to just overcome my insecurities.” You can watch the band’s dark and partly animated video for the track below. “bop it up” is out now on Apple Music and Spotify.
