SHY Martin opens up about her struggles with mental health on her new single, “can I call you back?”. Speaking about the song the Swedish artist said, “I remember first experiencing anxiety when I was turning 13. At the time I didn’t know what that feeling was, only that it made me very sad, and extremely lonely.” She didn’t know how widespread mental health was until she began speaking about it with people that listen to her music. That resulted in them opening up and sharing their own experiences. “Starting that conversation felt so important for me, and to keep it going I need to keep being honest with my music. ‘can I call you back?’ is a continuation of that,” SHY Martin added. Her new single “can I call you back?” is out now on
