It was during a conversation that Joy Crookes’ best friend pointed out that when dealing with depression and anxiety, “we almost become tired of constantly being with ourselves – you want to be with anyone but yourself.” Those words were the inspiration for South London singer Joy Crookes’ new single “Anyone But Me”. Joy revealed that she has, “suffered from mental health issues since I was young” and like many talking about it wasn’t easy but luckily she could express herself in her music. Hopefully others too can find solace in this song and feel that they are not alone. “Anyone But Me” is out now on Apple Music and Spotify.
