Låpsley was, “in a pretty bad place” when she wrote her new single “Womxn”. “It’s about having trust in the passage of time; about not knowing what to do right now but knowing that at some point you will know,” she said when introducing the song. “And here we are in the future and I’m this stronger, more confident womxn, and I sing it and it’s my present.” I’m glad that the story finished with a happy ending. “Womxn” taken from Låpsley’s sophomore album
Through Water, which will be released on the 20th March. “Womxn” is out now on
Apple Music and
Spotify.
