Civil Twilight gave Billy Idol’s 1981 hit “Dancing With Myself” an emotional make over. The South African band’s rendition is a more sombre and down tempo affair than Billy’s original. The lyrics and emotion within the song connect alot more here – I wouldn’t be surprised if some who hadn’t heard Billy’s original prefer this.
Civil Twilight recently announced an acoustic re-release of their latest album, Story of an Immigrant which is due to be released on July 15th via Wind-up Records. The band will also be touring the US this summer and you can view more info on Facebook.
