Last night’s X-Factor show was full of bad performances and I don’t know what the judges were on put it was potent. Whatever it was it clouded their ability to distinguish between good and bad. I mean did Cher Lloyd really answer her critics with her performance of “Just Be Good To Me”? Her rapping was awful. And how Belle Amie’s performance of “Airplanes” could receive praise is beside me. They actually attempted to sing B.o.B.’s rap verses on a singing contest! One Direction’s cover of Coldplay’s “Viva La Vida” was just plain awful.
Believe it or not, in and amongst the bad there were some good performances. The one that stood out the most was Tesco Mary’s performance of James Brown’s classic “It’s A Man’s World”. She killed it, simples.
