The fact that John Legend and The Roots are working on an album together, entitled Wake Up, is exciting. The first single from that project is “Wake Up Everybody”, which also features Common and Melanie Fiona as if The Roots and John Legend collaborating wasn’t enough! Although I’m looking forward to Wake Up this rendition of Harold Melvin & The Blue Notes Classic is not my favourite. Hopefully the following singles will be stronger. Video directed by Gil Green.
