Kanye West – Donda (Album)

Kanye West has today releasing his much delayed and highly anticipated tenth studio album, Donda. Having held three album launch events in previous weeks, it was beginning to seem like it would never be released. With each event the album changed and the version that has been released today includes changes from the last version of the album that we heard last week.

The version that West played at his final and eventful album launch event didn’t include Jay-Z, Kid Cudi and The Lox. I am happy to say that they have all been included on the final version that’s been released today. Perhaps the most controversial change was the addition of DaBaby in light of his homophobic comments. It seems that the rapper’s management team didn’t want to approve his appearance on the album according to texts that West shared.

The album is rich with features including The Weeknd, Lil Baby, Playboi Carti, Young Thug, Don Toliver, Westside Gunn, Roddy Ricch and Baby Keem. Some of the highlights include “Junya”, “Moon”, “Jail”, “Off The Grid” and “Jesus Lord”. There’s allot here though, the album contains 27 songs and is almost 2 hours in length.

Maybe Kanye was so busy working on the music that he didn’t have time to commission proper artwork. Who knows, maybe even that will change in the coming weeks. Donda is out now on Apple Music and Spotify, you can listen to it in full below.
