East London-based artist Chinwe brings a word of caution on her soulful new single “Numb”. The song is a warning of sorts about the importance of being aware that not everyone is out to help you. Even though they may behave like they are.
“Not everyone wants what’s best for you, but we all think we know what’s best,” Chinwe notes. “If you take everyone else’s advice instead of staying true to yourself, it can lead you into a really dark place,” she explains.
“Numb” is taken from Chinwe’s debut EP, Scar Tissue, which was also released today. “Numb” is out now and you can hear it below.
