2020 was a difficult year for us all but one of the highlights was the emergence of Florence Arman. The alt pop, singer/songwriter arrived out of the blue with her debut single “Naked”, which also introduced us to her talent of making brilliant videos.
There’s so much to like about Florence, including the fact that she starts her day with two breakfasts and drinks about 34 cups of tea per day. She is also a really talented artist that crafts wonderful pop songs such as her second single, “In a Heartbeat”. Once again, make sure that you check out her humorous video that accompanies the song.
Before stepping into the spotlight herself, Florence was writing for others. “Initially when I was writing ‘Out of the Blue’ I had a different singer in mind,” Florence reveals about the EP’s title track. She explains that it was her brother that reminded her, “you can keep the good songs for yourself too, you know.” Hearing her music, it’s easy to see why other artists would be eager to work with her. Florence’s seven-track debut EP was created along with Australian producer filous and her brother, Sebastian Arman.
Florence Arman Out of The Blue EP is an outstanding debut and one of the best projects to be released this year. As well as the songs mentioned above it also includes “Home”. The EP is out now on Apple Music and Spotify, you can listen to it in full below.
