London-based producer Scott Nelson shares the delightful first single from his Dejector project. Nelson found comfort in stepping stepping away from his roots as a session musician during the uncertainty of the last year. Taking inspiration from the likes of Burial and Four Tet, “Take Me There” is the first taste of his new direction.
The track includes voice recordings of the loves ones that he missed most, a lovely way to channel his emotions. It’s very Fred Again-esque but it’s wonderfully done. The more that I hear it, the better it gets. “Take Me There” is out now on Apple Music and Spotify.
