Lily Ward returns to bring us their first single of 2021, “Kalopsia”. It’s an enchanting song that was inspired by the long distance relationship that Lily is currently in. “The definition of kalopsia is a delusion that something is more beautiful than it actually is,” Lily explains, “and it’s like when you’re in a moment where everything seems too good to be true.” They weren’t keen on long distance relationships until they met their current girlfriend and says that they were, “hoping and praying while we were talking that it wasn’t just a bad case of Kalopsia.” I too have the habit of sometimes second guessing myself when something really good happens. But Lily can rest assured that what they have is something good based on what I can hear. “Kalopsia” is out now on Apple Music and Spotify.
