Today’s Song of The Day is Cal Maro’s “Juliet (Bedroom Session)”, a delightful, stripped back track inspired by Baz Luhrman’s 1996 film Romeo + Juliet. Cal mentions, “approaching it intentionally in a more stripped, vulnerable way,” when speaking about the song’s recording process. He kept things very minimal, “no studio – just me, in my bedroom, during quarantine.” If there’s a full project of this kind of music then I will be the first in line to stream it. As long as it doesn’t mean that he will be confined to his bedroom for any longer than he needs to be. “Juliet (Bedroom Session)” is out now on Apple Music and Spotify.
