Seeva – Princess (Video)

Seeva is a British-Asian artist and he opens up some important conversations about what members in the queer community encounter on his new single “Princess”. Seeva says, “as a queer South Asian man, the word ‘princess’ has been directed at me throughout my life in a negative way, as though being more effeminate is ‘less than’ the masculinity that society might want men to portray.” He adds, “I wanted to balance the masculine and feminine sides of me in ‘Princess’, singing low in my voice through most of the song but reclaiming the word princess as a term of endearment.” You can watch Seeva’s beautiful video for the candid track below. “Princess” is out now on Apple Music and Spotify.
