girl in red is the artist moniker of Norwegian artist Marie Ulven, who writes, records and produces all her music. “rue” is the first taste of her forthcoming, yet-to-be-named debut album. It’s a dark and emotive song about one’s desire to try and overcome the challenges that they face as a result of mental health. “I wrote this song for my loved ones who are affected by my mental health. I will always try my best to get better for them, and i am forever grateful for their presence in my life,” girl in red says.
