There’s alot going on in Ty Dolla $ign’s new single, “Ego Death”. Not only does the song features the all star cast of Kanye West, FKA twigs and Skrillex. But it also meshes together a variety of genres, like an audio collage. The song has obvious Afro Beat, RnB, Hip Hop and most devotedly House influences. It samples two massive 90s classics, Ralphi Rosario’s “You Used To Hold Me” and Ultra Nate’s “Free”. Whatever ego death is, it doesn’t sound like something that I want to experience. “Ego Death” is out now on Apple Music and Spotify.
