“Monochrome” is a brutally honest and sparse song from Scottish songwriter Fair Mothers (aka Kevin Allan). He wrote the song after an argument with his wife that seems like it was pretty serious. Speaking about the song Fair Mothers says that it concerns, “the possibility of splitting up, the ruin of our life and losing my family.” I’m happy that they’ve managed to patch things up – or at least I hope that they have. “Monochrome” is out now on Apple Music and Spotify.
