“Her Name’s December” is the wonderful debut single from singer-songwriter, Martha. The song came about when Martha’s manager challenged her to write a song that wasn’t linked to her personal experiences, the opposite of what she normally does. Taking inspiration from Gabrielle Aplin and, “the bleak, cold and grey weather that was brewing outside,” she began working on the song. “The lyrics for the song gradually began to emerge, personifying every feeling and thought I had whilst watching this winter scene outside my music room window unfold,” explained Martha. “Her Name’s December” is out now on Apple Music and Spotify.
