Kojey Radical shares his appreciation for the his mother on his new single , “Same Boat”. Speaking about the song Kojey explained, “I wrote ‘Same Boat’ as a way of honoring the black women that raised me, especially my mother. I wouldn’t be here without her sacrifices.” He added, it’s not simply about protecting our daughters. It’s about raising our sons to see black women as the back bone to our society.” It’s a valid point on a good, uplifting song. “Same Boat” is out now on Apple Music and Spotify.
