Melbourne born singer-songwriter Emily Soon draws on soul and country music on her wonderful new single “Love Is the Loneliest Place”. “I wrote [the song] in my very early 20s, reflecting on a friend’s break up and the real powerful, raw image of their sadness and exhaustion,” explains Emily. She used the song to explore the breakup and better understand how her friend had felt, “I’d never experienced those feelings. The song helped me to comprehend the situation as best as I could, also becoming a lesson for myself on the importance of empathy, patience and time.” Although the subject matter of the song may not be the most happiest, Emily’s soothing voice and delightful production will warm your soul. “Love Is the Loneliest Place” is out now on Apple Music and Spotify.
