Obenewa’s “Solid Gold” is a sparse piano led RnB track, with lyrics that speak and uplift the listener. The singer was inspired to write the song by a stranger who was in a low spirits, “little girl was crying in the ladies toilets I was using, not feeling good about herself” she says. “I have doubted myself many times too,” Obwena added, “but have realised that I am solid gold, I am special and everyone is unique..We all need to accept who we are, because once we do, I feel nothing can stop us.” You can hear the Song of The Day contender below.
