Angel Haze V Azealia Banks

Before we begin, it is important to note that Azealia Banks’ debut album Broke with Expensive Taste is due for release next month.

The best thing about Hip Hop beefs is not the potential for violence (because that rarely happens), but the music. Whether it was 50 Cent & Ja Rule, Ludacris and T.I., Game & G Unit, or even Drake & Common beefing – the music was good. Fast forward to modern Hip Hop beefs and the same cannot be said (check Pusha T & Lil Wayne’s beef for proof). On the face of it Angel Haze V Azealia Banks is an interesting proposition. But one listen to Azealia Banks’ “No Problem” is all that’s needed to ascertain that her reply to Angel Haze was weak. As if to add insult to injury Angel Haze’s “On The Edge” was about as edgy as a Disney flick. So now we have two bad tracks, from two of the ‘hottest’ female MC’s   in the game who happen to beefing. Sort it out! At the end of the day it’s the music that matters most and if this exchange is anything to go by then no more rounds are needed. Give us a good album (or mixtape) and we’ll promise not to mention these two wack songs again.
