Palmaria are London-based Italian duo that make hypnotic pop music. They have just released their delightful new single, Saudade. It doesn’t have a direct translation in English but it refers to a feeling of nostalgia or melancholic yearning. Palmaria describe the song as, “the story of a life changing encounter, set in a dream in the heat of the summer night.” They continue, “something that leaves a sense of déjà vu and a longing for something or someone that might never be found again.” This is a much needed reminder for me to book lessons to learn a new language. “Saudade”is out now on Apple Music and Spotify.
