It’s true that the title Little Death EP is a little morbid but I assue you that your ears will be pleasantly pleased when you press play. Brooklyn based folk artist, Tallie Gabriel’s debut debut solo E.P, Little Death, is delightful. “The name ‘Little Death’ comes from an idea my mother told me when I called her once, wildly heartbroken: a breakup the closest thing to the death of a loved one that humans experience,” Tallie explains. “The relationship you shared has died, so it's no wonder that we mourn lost loves so deeply,” says Tallie. “It's also a cheeky play on the French phrase petit mort… I'll let you look up what that means.” The EP is a collection of tender hopeful and heartbroken stories written in the aftermath of and reflection on the singer/songwriter and cellist’s breakup. I can’t recommend it enough. Tallie Gabriel’s Little Death EP is out now on Apple Music and Spotify, you can listen to it in full below.
