Tom Cox is a twenty one year old singer/ rapper that mixes guitar based music with rap. He recently performed his new single "Lately" for SB TV's A64 series and smashed it. His singing is reminiscent of Ed Sheeran and his rapping is quite good too. Looking forward to hearing more from this guy. "Lately" is available to buy now on iTunes.
As if Leonard Cohen's original version of "Chelsea Hotel" wasn't bad enough, Lana's recorded a cover version. Oh dear, this is probably the most boring song and video that you'll see for a long time. Steer clear!

New Warner Chappell signees LAC have just released "Borstal Boy" as a free download. The track is taken from their debut EP, which will be released on April 28th. I am told that they come from a depressing part of South East England and they list The Job Centre as an influence. That may not sound good but I can tell you that it has helped the band craft a gem of a track in "Borstal Boy" and you can get it for free from the band's Facebook page facebook.com/LACBandUK.

Although it's not perfect the song and it's B-side "Troubles" are a far more enjoyable listen than much of what you'll hear in any Top 40 chart.
