Introducing Bipolar Sunshine

I was sent the first set of recorded tracks from Manchester based artist, Bipolar Sunshine and my intention was to post the best one. But they were all so good that I had to share them with you!

Bipolar Sunshine is the solo project of Adio Marchant, formerly of Manchester collective Kid Britsh. His music touches mixes Indie, Pop and Hip Hop – sometimes in one song! “Fire” is the best example of this, it is an emotional track with brilliant  vocals and a dream like backdrop.

“Rivers” is has more of an Indie Rock feel to it and would easily be at home on Radio 1’s daytime playlist.

The last of Bipolar Sunshine’s song’s that I was treated to was “Blossom” and although it wasn’t as good as the other two songs, it wasn’t bad by any means. The guitar on this song began to grate me, but the song sounded good on the parts without a guitar!

If anything can be drawn from listening to these tracks, it is that Bipolar Sunshine is an artist to keep an eye on. “Fire” is Song of the Day worthy and the sooner that “Rivers” is released the sooner that Bipolar Sunshine’s step towards chart success can begin! 2013 will be an interesting year, especially with artists like Bipolar Sunshine about.

Bipolar Sunshine will be supporting Petite Noir at Soup Kitchen, Manchester, 1st December
