D Double E - Street Fighter Riddim (HD Video)

One of the biggest tunes on road, DJ Swerve and D Double E's "Street Fighter Riddim", finally gets a video. Damn I pleased that the video turned out so good, because so often in the past a good song has been let down by a bad video. Video directed by Tim & Barry-good job guys!

D Doouble E's "Street Fighter Riddim" is available to download now from iTunes and Amazon.co.uk.

Ras Kass – Who Popped Ya?

<a href="http://raskass.bandcamp.com/track/who-popped-ya">Who Popped Ya? by Ras Kass</a>
I try not to post freestyles unless they are worth hearing so please believe that this well worth your time. This is what Game's "400 Bars" should have been. Plain and simply, Ras Kass goes in. Funny enough both were mixed by the same guy, DJ Skee.

Tinchy Stryder - In My System (Acoustic) (HD Video)

Having seen Tinchy give an acoustic performance before, I knew that this would be good, but not this good! "In My System" is a pretty good song, but this version is so much better than the original. Video directed by SB.TV.

"In My System" is released on 8th August and is available to pre-order on iTunes and Amazon.co.uk.

Jay Sean feat. Nicki Minaj - 2012

NEW YORK - SEPTEMBER 22: Singer Jay Sean visits fuse TV's 'Hip Hop Shop' at fuse Studios on September 22, 2009 in New York City. (Photo by Astrid Stawiarz/Getty Images)
Damn, it's good to see a local lad break out of the manners and be successful! Jay Sean has done that over the past few years and he is back with his new single, "2012" featuring Nicki Minaj. It's bound to be a hit, but don't tell me that it doesn't sound like Chipmunk's "Look For Me"..

Bun B feat. Drake - Put It Down

Bun B just gave away an album track featuring none of than Drizzy, in celebration of getting his 20,000th follower on twitter. Even though it reminds me of Rick Ross's classic "Hustlin", the two are produced by different producers (Boi-1da & The Runners respectively). The chorus even reminds me of Drake's song with The Dream "Shut It Down", but why nit pick-it's free!

Usher feat. Jay-Z & Ester Dean - Hot Toddy

HOLLYWOOD - FEBRUARY 13: (L-R) Rapper Jay Z, singer Beyonce Knowles and Usher attend Usher's Private Grammy Party hosted by Entertainment Weekly held at the Geisha House on February 13, 2005 in Hollywood, California. (Photo by Frank Micelotta/Getty Images)
Mr Raymond is back with a new song featuring Jay-Z. I'm not too sure about the title and the production sounds like it's a Timbaland beat, but I'm led to believe that it's a Polow Da Don beat. This will be the first single from Usher's upcoming Verses EP, which he will release in August. Word is that the final version will feature Ciara instead of Ester Dean which is a shame because Ester sounds good on the beat, but on the upside the video should be something good now.

via NR

Estelle - Fall In Love feat. Nas & John Legend (Video)

"Fall In Love" is Estelle's new single and is taken from her third album All of Me, which is released later this year. It is almost the opposite of her previous single "Freak" in every way and is reminiscent of her biggest hit to date"American Boy". It's available in two flavours one with Nas (above) and one with John Legend (below). Videos directed by Sanaa Hamri.

Big H - Wake Up (Radio Rip)

Last night Logan Sama dropped something new from Big H's long delayed new mixtape, Fire & Smoke. good to hear Big H get back to bars and leaving the beefing, because it was getting a bit boring. Be on the lookout for Fire & Smoke, I expect it to be released soon.

Beenie Man - Jamaican Party / DanceHall Nuh Dead Yet (HD Video)

Seems like it was just yesterday that Beenie Man released his last singles, "I'm Okay/Drinking Rum & Redbull" and he's back with another double barrelled video. "Jamaican Party" is almost like an advertisement for Jamaica and is a reminder of just how short summer is for us in the UK. No word on a UK release date for these songs as of yet, so enjoy the video for now. Video directed by Janelle Dyer.

Lady Gaga - Alejandro (Matty Trump Remix)

*AUDIO REMOVED BY REQUEST*
Before I received this in my email, I hadn't heard of Matty Trump and nor did I really listen to Lady Gaga. Having heard the original version of "Alejandro", I can tell you that had Gaga heard this mix earlier she should could have released Trump's version. Trump adds a big dose of energy to what was a pretty sombre song and the result is a good decent House song. Thumbs up Matty!

The Roots - The Fire feat. John Legend (Video)

The second single from The Roots's new album, How I Got Over, finally got a video (it's more like a short film than a music video). I kind of expected ?uestlove, Black Though and co. to pop up during the video. Anyways I'm not gonna spoil it. Enjoy! Video directed by Rik Cordero.

"The Fire" is available to download now from iTunes and Amazon.co.uk.

Robyn - Hang With Me (Video)

Robyn returns with the first single from her forthcoming album, Body Talk Pt. 2, which will be the second album she releases this year! Body Talk Pt. 2 is the penultimate release in Robyn's ambitious album trilogy and follows what was easily a contender for album of the year, Body Talk Pt. 1. It will be interesting to see how part 2 compares. Video directed by Max Vitali.

Busy Signal - Summn' A Guh Gwaan feat. Bounty Killer (HD Video)

Fresh from releasing his new album, D.O.B., Busy Signal is back with a new single alongside Bounty Killer the warlord. Shane Brown's Damage Control Riddim is the perfect platform for this bashment smash. Can't wait to hear this in the dance! Video directed by Raas Kassa.

"Summn' A Guh Gwaan" is available to download now from iTunes and Amazon.co.uk.

Weekly Catch Up: Week 29 2010

This week was a bit of a quiet one, so let's get straight to it. I present to you, this week's highlights from the world of music dose of Weekly CatchUp™...

The Evil genius, DJ Green Lantern finally got to release his Jay-Z mixtape

Nicki Minaj dedicated  a song to me

Ty gave us a little bit of motivation music

M.I.A. released a new mixtape

Marques Houston and Rick Ross gave us a new slow jam

Lupe Fiasco - B.M.F. (Building Minds Faster) Freestyle

42767, HOLLYWOOD, CALIFORNIA - Sunday July 18, 2010. Ludacris headlines the Developing Options & Uneek Vision Celebrity Benefit Concert held at the Nokia theater in Hollywood. Photograph: Koi Sojer, PacificCoastNews.com
Hearing Lupe go in over Rick Ross's "BMF" was an enticing prospect that unfortunately didn't live up to the hype. While Lupe destroyed numerous beats on his last outing on the mixtape circuit, he just sounds lost on this beat. It's a shame because this could have been something so much better, especially following the opening bars.

September 7th & M.I.A. - MINDFVCK (Mixtape)

September 7th and M.I.A. come together to bring you a new mixtape entitled MINDFVCK. The mixtape features some of M.I.A.'s most notable songs aswell as remixes with artists such as Jay-Z, Bjork and Nicki Minaj. Although you may have heard alot of the songs on the mixtape, it is good to have to have them all in one playlist so you can hear them all together.

Marques Houston - Pullin' On Her Hair feat. Rick Ross (Video)

Marques Houston is back with another hit for the ladies. Marques enlists the services Rick Ross for this midnight jam. I'm sure that this is only the first in a long line of features that we are due to hear after the success of his latest album Teflon Don.

Thursday, 22 July 2010

T.I. - Got Your Back feat. Keri Hilson (Video)

Any music video with Keri Hilson in is a winner, in my honest opinion! Good to see T.I. back at it as he's an artist that normally makes good albums (T.I. vs T.I.P. not included). "Got Your Back" is taken from T.I.'s forthcoming album King Uncaged which will be released in September. No word on a UK release date for this single as of yet.

Ty - Don't Cry (Video)

It is nice when every so often we are reminded that there is more to Hip Hop than most people would have you believe. TY is one of those artists that reminds us of this and he does it with a big helping of soulful beats and a laid back flow on his new single "Don't cry". Special Kind of Fool is out now, if you haven't got the album already.

"Don't Cry" is available to download now from iTunes and Amazon.co.uk.

Wednesday, 21 July 2010

Nicki Minaj - Your Love (Video)

Nicki Minaj's Bilboard chart topping single, "Your Love" finally gets a video. Funny how as an artist known for her raps and punchlines that her first number 1 features more of her singing than her spitting talents. This is a better song than "Massive Attack", so no surprise that it has done better. No word on a UK release date though, so enjoy the video for now.

Tuesday, 20 July 2010

Chiddy Bang – Dream Chasin’ (Video)

After previously dismissing the duo as another act not worth my attention, I have since learnt to eat my words. The Air Swell Mixtape was something well worth downloading and here again the duo prove that they are not just another one hit wonder. Xaphoon went in on the beat and Chiddy did his thing with the bars on this, enjoy!

via TSS

JME - Starving Children (Instrumental)

To continue the giving mood that artists have been in lately, JME gave out a FREE instrumental that he managed to knock up in ten minutes today. It's a good effort if you ask me.
"Uploading a quick instrumental I've made called "Starving Children" listen to it and reflect on the poverty in the world, and learn from it..If you can, think of a time when you didn't have a penny, and remember how you had to work hard & earn your way to where you are today-JME

DJ Green Lantern & Jay-Z Creative Control (Mixtape)

This deserves a download off the names involved alone.  For those of you that are not are not familiar with Green Lantern he used to be Eminem's tour DJ as well as Jay-Z's tour DJ. Green originally intended to release a Jay-Z mixtape in 2006 but that never materialised, fast forward a few years and the two have combined to drop an official mixtape. Consisting of remixes, live appearances, exclusives and Green Lantern's production.

Tracklist, Audio Player and FREE download link below..

Kano - Upside ft Michelle Breeze (HD Video)

Here's the brand new video to Kano's new single "Upside" which follows the massive "Get Wild" and will feature on his forthcoming album Method To The Madness. While I;m a fan of Kano's I think that this would have been better if it had Michele Breeze from start to end, with Kano on a different song. I don't really know why Kano gets chased in the video seems pointless."Upside" is released on August 23rd. Video directed by Henry Schofield.

Waka Flocka Flame - Hard In The Paint (Video)

Lex Luger is a beast, simples. Not only is he the producer behind Rick Ross's "BMF" but he also produced this banger by Wacka Flocka Flame. Wacka previously said that an album isn't his main focus, but judging by his first two singles it will be interesting to hear his album. Video directed by Benny Boom.

Weekly Catch Up: Week 28 2010

It's time for me to give you a condensed version of this week's highlights. Yes folks, it's time for another dose of Weekly CatchUp™...

This was probably Rick Ross's week with "Aston Martin Music" and "Tears of Joy" giving us a taste of Teflon Don

Wyclef made a heartfelt recollection of the aftermath of The Day After Haiti Earthquake

Bruno Mars showed us what it's like on The Other Side, with his debut single

Beenie Man let us know that he's Okay

Hard House Banton gave away some Freebies

OJ Da Juiceman - Party Started feat. Verse Simmonds (Video)

Probably one of the best tracks from OJ Da Juiceman's O.R.A.N.G.E. mixtape finally gets a video. Not much to report here, except that if you like "Party Started2 then download the O.R.A.N.G.E. mixtape for FREE from DatPiff. Video directed by Rainman LTD.

Saturday, 17 July 2010

Professor Green - Kids That Love To Dance feat Emeli Sande (HD Video)

An interesting video from Professor Green. "Kids That Love To Dance" is the third single from Professor Green's debut album Alive Till I'm Dead which is released on Monday 19th July. The video shows some of the whacky stuff that you can come across on Chat Roulette. "Kids That Love To Dance" will be available to download on Monday on Amazon.co.uk.

John Legend & The Roots - Wake Up Everybody feat. Common & Melanie Fiona

WOW. So not only are The Roots and John Legend working together on an album, the first single also features one of the best lyricists: Common and one of the most talented singers there is: Melanie Fiona. I love it when my favourite artists work together. "Wake Up Everybody" is taken from John Legend & The Roots's forthcoming album Wake Up! which will be released later this year. Enjoy

via OKP

Flo Rida - Club Can't Handle Me Feat. David Guetta (HD Video)

For those that think that this sounds alot like The Black Eyed Peas's "Gotta Feeling", that's probably because both songs have the same producer-David Guetta. Much like"Gotta Feeling" this is gonna be a smash, yeah I said it, this is a winner. "Club Can't Handle Me" is featured on the Step Up 3D Soundtrack and is released on 23rd July.

Aggro Santos - Saint or Sinner (Video)

Fresh from his UK Top 10 hit "Candy" featruing  Kimberly Wyatt, Aggro Santos is back with his new single "Saint or Sinner". I may be wrong, but it sounds like the song samples Lyn Collins' "Think (About It)" but don't quote me on that. I look forward to hearing Aggro's more from as long as his next video's look something like this! "Saint or Sinner" is released on August 22nd.

Friday, 16 July 2010

KiD CuDi feat. Kanye West - Erase Me (Produced by Jim Jonsin)

I've been looking forward to Man On The Moon II: The Legend of Mr. Rager ever since I hears Kid Cudi's début album. "Erase Me" is the latest track to leak from that album and shows MOTM 2 could be just as good as Cudder's debut.

via NR

Roll Deep - Green Light (Video)

Roll Deep are back with the follow up to their first UK number 1 "Good Times" and could be an even bigger hit. Judging by these two singles, Roll Deeps new album Winner Stays On should do better than any of their previous albums and that is well deserved. Let the Good Times commence! "Green Light" is released on August 15th and is available to pre-order on Amazon.co.uk.

Video: Egypt - Believe (Hold Your Head Up)

Fresh from her massive single "In The Morning", Egypt is back with her motivational new single "Believe (Hold Your Head Up)". Some people have the misconception idea that Funky House is just about different dances, so it's good when songs like this pop up. "Believe (Hold Your Head Up)" will be released in August.

Ne-Yo - Champagne Life (HDVideo)

The video for "Champagne Life" picks up where the video for "Beautiful Monster" left off. Where as "Beautiful Monster" wouldn't go any where near my mp3 player, "Champagne Life" could sit there proudly. Just hope that this doesn't get girls hope up; I like the song it but that doesn't mean that I'll be buying bottles of champagne in the club. "Champagne Life" is taken from Ne-Yo's forthcoming album Libra Scale which will be released in September. Video directed by Wayne Isham & Ne-Yo.

Ne-Yo - Beautiful Monster (Video)

Ne-Yo is back with a new sound and a shiny new video. "Beautiful Monster" marks a departure from Ne-Yo's previous songs which were RnB and makes a venture into House music. The video is a short film and was clearly inspired by Michael Jackson's Moonwalker, DragonBall Z and The Matrix. Video directed by Wayne Isham & Ne-Yo.

Sean Garrett - Get It All feat. Nicki Minaj (Video)

If you don't know who Sean Garret is, he is the songwriter behind some big songs such as Usher's "Yeah", Ciara's "Goodies" and Mario's "Break Up". "Get It All" is the first single from Sean Garret's new album, Courtesy Of, which will be released later this year. Nicki Minaj is probably in the form of her life, seems that she kills every song that she features on. Video directed by Gil Green.

"Get It All" is available to download now on iTunes.

Bruno Mars - The Other Side ft. Cee Lo Green & B.o.B (HD Video)

Bruno Mars has been busy of late working with B.o.B. on his UK chart topping single "Nothin' On You" (which was originally a Lupe Fiasco song) and Travie McCoys "Billionaire". Now he has finally got round to releasing some of his own material and I can say that we can look forward to more good music if the rest of his sings are of this quality. Cee-Lo and B.o.B. play their parts well on the song and their features don't sound contrived at all.  No details were available regrading a UK release date for "The Other Side", so enjoy the video for now.

Labrinth - SB.TV A64 (HD Video)

Chances are that you are already familiar with Labrinth's work, he produced and sang on both of Tinie Tempah's massive singles "Pass Out" and "Frisky". In addition to producing some big tunes he is also an artist in his own right. Here he is performing an acoustic song about the music industry Let this be a taster of the things to come from Labrinth. Video directed by SB.TV.

Hard House Banton - Freebies Vol 1 (Mixtape)

Along with Don'aeo and Lil Silva, Hard House Banton is probably one of the best producers within the Funky House genre. So I was happy to learn that he was giving away a bunch of tracks for free as part of a compilation entitled, Freebies Vol 1. Seems that Wiley's generosity has been contagious, but who am I to complain when the music's so good?

Tracklist and FREE download link below...

Kid Cudi, Rostam Batmanglij & Bethany Cosentino - All Summer (Video)

Kid Cudi, Rostam Batmanglij (from Vampire Weekend) and Bethany Cosentino combined to work on a for Converse. The result is a pretty unique piece of music featuring verses from Kid Cudi, a chorus by Bethany and production by Rostam. Now here's a video which is just as unique and light-hearted video to boot. The good news is that "All Summer" is available to download for FREE via  Converse.com.

You can watch the behind the scenes video below...

Wayne Marshall Feat. Mavado - My Heart Remix (HD Video)

This sounds alot like something that The-Dream would put on his album. It is more of an R&B track than a Dancehall riddim, same goes for the feel of video. But that doesn't take away from the fact that it's a good song with a video to match. Video directed by Storm.

" My Heart Remix" is available to download from iTunes and Amazon.co.uk now.

Beenie Man - I'm Okay/Drinking Rum & Redbull Feat. Fambo (HD Video)

It's always refreshing when an 'urban' artist makes an upbeat track, it doesn't always work but Beenie Man's got something good here. Beenie Man's new single "I'm Okay" is taken from Seanizzle's One Day Riddim and is available to download on iTunes and Amazon.co.uk.

Rick Ross feat. Cee-Lo - Tears Of Joy (prod. No I.D.)

Rap artist Rick Ross performs at the 2010 BET Awards in Los Angeles June 27, 2010. REUTERS/Mario Anzuoni (UNITED STATES - Tags: ENTERTAINMENT)
WOW. This has to be the final straw for those not convinced that Teflon Don is worth purchasing. The beat is crazy, Rick Ross's flow is on point and Cee-Lo kills it. Teflon Don is released on july 19th and is available to pre-order from Amazon.co.uk.

Watch the making of "Tears of Joy" below...

Mumdance - Different Circles (Mixtape)

First things first don't be discouraged by the cover, in no way does it reflect the quality of this mixtape. Have a listen above, I promise that you will not be dissapointed.

Here's a bit more info about the mixtape, courtesy of Mumdance & Mad Decent:
"Mumdance's Different Circles mixtape is a mission statement confirming his kaleidoscopic tastes. With 17 original productions spanning ethnic tinged drunk funk woven into 1980's synth-pop, Balearic-tinged minimal techno, Baltimore gutter colliding with calypso, tribal guarachero & his very own home grown genre, 'kerplunk'. Collated as a precursor to his Forthcoming "Mum Decent EP" on Mad Decent (to be released August 23rd) as well as showcasing a host of other releases on Trouble & Bass, No Hats No Hoods, and Big Dada, this is a definitive guide to whats next. Different Circles features vocals from Esser, Trim, Jammer, Mc Sparks & Kie, Badness & Boy Better Know, as well as collaborations with Drums of Death, Shortstuff & Brackles, Toy Selectah & AC Slater.

Usher - There Goes My Baby (Video)

Usher is back with "There Goes My Baby", the follow up to his massive previous single "OMG". This one's strictly for the ladies, enjoy! Video directed by Anthony Mandler.

"There Goes My Baby" is available to download now from iTunes and Amazon.co.uk.

Lloyd Banks - Light Up Freestyle

Lloyd Banks is a rapper that I once rated highly; in the lead up to his début album The Hunger For More he proved why he was the Punch Line King (PLK) with a number of notable freestyles. The Hunger For More was a decent album and went platinum, but since then he's lost something. With The Hunger For More 2 on the way the PLK returns with a verse on one of the best songs on Drake's Thank Me Later, "Light Up". The verse is a good one but wouldn't be able to stand up to Drake and Jay-Z's verses on the original.

Swedish House Mafia - One (Your Name) feat Pharrell Williams (HD Video)

One of my favourite songs from this year, finally gets a video. Swedish House Mafia's ( Axwell, Sebastian Ingrosso & Steve Angello) debut, "One (Your Name)", is so good it has even been branded as "the hottest record in the world". Video directed by: Christian Larson & Henrik Hanson.

"One (Your Name)" is available to pre-order on iTunes and Amazon.co.uk and is released on July 25th.

Rick Ross - Sweet Life feat. John legend (Video)

Rick Ross has been busy of late, you'd think that he had an album coming out or something! One day after dropping BMF The Bawse is back with another video directed by Spiff TV, as if BMF wasn't enough. "Sweet Life" is taken from Rick Ross's Albert Anastasia EP which you can download for FREE.

Scorcher - It's My Time (HD Video)

Scrocher's major label debut will be with his new single, "It's My Time". On it he shows that he can make music for the mainstream and you have to admit that he went in with the bars. Glad to see Scorcher on a major, especially since The Jungle Book proved that he deserved a bigger platform. "It's My Time" is released on August 29th. Video directed by Staple House.

The Loveliers - Interactivity

Here's a song that I am glad that I was sent, otherwise I may have not had the joy of hearing. "Interactivity" is a light dance song that leaves you wanting to hear more and would do well on commercial radio. It's the first song that I heard from The Loveliers and look forward to new material from the Polish Dance trio if this is the standard.

Rick Ross feat. Drake & Chrisette Michele - Aston Martin Music (Official Extended Mix)

The beat sounds like it could have easily made Drake's début album, Thank Me Later. J.U.S.T.I.C.E. League's production is also somewhat reminiscent of classic 90's hip hop. I said it before and I'll say it again, Rick Ross's Teflon Don is looking like it might just be something special. Teflon Don is released on July 19th and can be pre-ordered on Amazon.co.uk

Wyclef - The Day After

"The Day After" is Wyclef's first single from his new album, The Haitian Experience, and  is an emotional account of the aftermath of Haiti's earthquake. "The Day After" serves as a reminder that your help is still needed; you can donate through Yele Haiti.....YELE!

Rick Ross - B.M.F. (Blowin' Money Fast) feat. Styles P (HDVideo)

Probably the best track from Rick Ross's The Albert Anastasia EP gets the star studded video treatment,  courtesy of Maybach Films and Parris. Say what you want about Rick Ross, but you have to admit that Teflon Don is looking like it could be a classic. Teflon Don is released on July 19th and is available to pre-order from Amazon.co.uk.

Funky Dee - Are You Gonna Bang Doe (Video)

If you have been to a dance Funky House dance in the past year chances are the DJ would have dropped this sometime during the night. Shame that when it came to going commersh and making a video that the Lioness part was not kept. While it's still a vybser's it is missing Lil Silva's "Funky Flex VS Pulse X Remix" and one of the best moments of the original.

Daville - Wine U A Wine

Da'Ville returns with a new smash that sums up how it can feel when a girl has the right mix of rhythm and curves. "Wine U A Wine" is available to download now from iTunes and Amazon.co.uk.

Weekly Catch Up: Wiley Edition

Alot happened this week but there was only one man that had it up and came out stronger: Wiley. Eskiboy released more than 200 songs FOR FREE and then released a new freestyle, "The Return of Wiley",  the day after and promised to start work on a new album on Monday! Few artists would dream of or even attempt such an act. Hats off to you Wiley.

There isn't anything from the world of music worth mentioning in the same breath as the zip files and so I present to you this week's dose of CatchUp™...

Wiley - Return of Wiley Freestyle

Say what you like about Wiley but one thing's for sure, you can't knock his work rate. After giving us over 200 of songs for FREE, Wiley is back to what he does best-merking beats. Warning: this is likely to set you back if you haven't finished going through the Wiley Zip Files!

Devlin - Brainwashed (Video)

Not much has changed since I first heard "Brainwashed", I still think that Devlin is one of the best lyricists within Grime, am still looking forward to Bud, Sweat & Bears and still think that he should have gone with a different lead single. But I also understand that "D.V.L.I.N" is now on a platform where he is reaching for a new audience  so I can appreciate "Brainwashed" for what it is and will not be surprised should this chart within the UK Top 10. You too can be "Brainwashed" from August 5th.

Rick Ross feat. Jay-Z - Free Mason (CDQ)

Here's something set to get the conspiracy theorists crazy: Jay-Z on a track titled "Free Mason". Make of it what you will. "Free Mason will feature on Rick Ross's new album Teflon Don which is released on July 19th. You can pre-order it from HMV today.

via MrX

Video: Rick Ross feat. Curren$y & Wiz Khalifa - Super High (Sativa Remix)

Rick Ross video with Spiff TV, featuring the perfect cast for Super High's Sativa Remix. Rick Ross's Teflon Don is released on 19th July and can be pre-ordered through HMV.

Pharoahe Monch - Shine feat. Mela Machinko

Pharoahe Monch returns with his first single since 2007's excellent album Desire, with a new single "Shine". Diamond D's production and Mela Machinko's singing provide the perfect backdrop for Pharoahe Monch to give us the perfect appetiser for his forthcoming album W.A.R. (We Are Renegades). Lookout for Pharoahe Monch's W.A.R. which will be released this Autumn.

Thursday, 8 July 2010

Wiley - Zip 1 to 11 (Albums)

Wiley released a massive amount of new music today (10 albums) simply entitled Zip 1, Zip 2 etc because they were released in zip fornmat. The zip fodlers include current single "Electric Boogaloo", "MC Pon 141", "Take That" and Wiley's next single "Night Flight". It is suprising that Wiley chose to give this music away for free, when the music is so good. While I'm grateful to get all this for free, Wiley could have made some good money selling this.

FREE download links below..

Dom Kennedy - 1997 (HD Video)

Here's something laid back for your speakers, taken from Dom Kennedy's excellent From The Westside, With Love mixtape. Not much to say but make sure you download Dom's From The Westside, With Love mixtape if you haven't already, it's FREE! Video directed by Matty Barnes.

Curren$y - Roasted feat. Trademark & Young Roddy (Video)

Although this is titled as Curren$y's single it feels a bit like it's Trademark's single as he has the first verse and chorus. But when Spitta does do his thing he shines. Curren$y's new album, Pilot Talk,  is definitely something to look forward to and is released on July 13th....JETS! Directed by Jonah Schwartz for Creative Control.

Gucci Mane feat. Talib Kweli - Poltergeist

Of all artists to collaborate, I never thought I'd see Gucci and Kweli on the same track. Despite all fears, the collabo works and Talib Kweli adds a different energy lifting the track. Expect "Poltergeist" to feature on Gucci Mane's next mixtape, which should be out soon judging by his work rate.

Fat Joe - If It Ain't About Money feat. Trey Songz (Video)

Not bad but after having Young Jeezy on the first single and Trey Songz on this I just hope that the album isn't filled with features. "If It Ain't About Money" is taken from Fat Joe's new album The Dark Side which is released on 27th July. "If It Ain't About Money" is available to download now from iTunes and Amazon.co.uk. J.Cole - Freestyle On Tim Westwood (Video)

J. Cole was in town over the weekend for the Wireless Festival and also dropped by Tim Westwood's 1xtra show. J. Cole dropped a freestyle and went in on some classic Wu Tang Clan beats. Good to see one of the new school rappers taking it back, because many don't.

Busta Rhymes feat. T.I., Cam’ron, Ghostface Killah & DMX - Stop The Party (Remix)

One of the biggest tunes of the year gets a star studded remix. Dj Khaled take note; you don't need to go overboard with the features to have a strong lineup for the remix. What is Iron Man without Tony Starks? Good to see Ghosface Killah in the mix.

Reflection Eternal - Ballad of the Black Gold (Video)

Happy to see one of the best songs on Reflection Eternal's latest album Revolutions Per Minute get a video. I wanted to direct this post to the all the people that have a stereotype about Hip Hop music. The people that think that it is just about hoes, guns and drugs. But then I thought that would detract from the message of the song. So all I want to say is watch, listen and learn. Get the album if you haven't already. Video directed by Sam Ellison.

Lethal B - Don't Run It Up (HD Video)

It has taken a while but I think that Lethal B has returned to making bangers, at least with this single anyway. Maybe its just that Lethal is back on a grime beat, but the energy has returned. Just give us an album of bangers and we'll be happy Bizzle! Teddy on the buttons, Chas Appeti directing.

Bashy - Fantasy

Since releasing his debut album Catch me If You Can Bashy has taken many steps forward; acting, releasing clothing and working with artists such as the Gorillaz. Bashy returns to the music with his uplifting new single "Fantasy", produced by Devon Kosoko. "Fantasy" adds a twist of jungle to Baby D's 90's classic "Let Me Be Your Fantasy". A formula that's bound to result in chart success, the only question is: where's all the lighter massive?
