Janiece Myers Feat. Wiley - Underground Love

From what I have heard so far, the A-List album should be interesting. "Underground Sound" is another track that will feature on the album that gets the thumbs up. The song is produced by Chartstalker who I hadn't heard of before this but am sure we will be hearing more from him in the future.

The Dream - Yamaha, Nikki pt. 2 and Abyss (Video)

Not content with just doing the norm, The Dream has released a trilogy of new videos all directed by Motion Family. Dream's new video contains the visuals for "Yamaha", "Nikki part. 2" and "Abyss" which are all taken from his new album Love King. The "Yamaha" segment reminds me of Robert Palmer's "Addicted To Love"Love King is released on 5th July and is available to pre-order now on

Rick Ross – Super High Remix feat. Curren$y & Wiz Khalifa

NEW YORK - AUGUST 30: Miami recording artist Rick Ross arrives at the 2006 BMI Urban Music Awards at Roseland Ballroom on August 30, 2006 in New York. (Photo by William D. Bird/Getty Images)
Rick Ross enlisted the help of Curren$y & Wiz Khalifa for the remix to his latest single "Super High". It only made sense to have Curren$y and Wiz Khalifa on this not least because getting Super High is something that they know alot about.

Sean Price - Let Me Tell You (Video)

Sean Price returns with a new video for his new single, "Let Me Tell You" directed by Monstar Film. For those that don't know, Sean Price is one of the best rappers around. His wordplay and punchlines is matched by only few. "Let Me Tell You" was produced by Beat Butcha and is the first single from Sean Price's new album Mic Tyson....P!

Estelle - #ialmostmadeamixtape (Mixtape)

Estelle just dropped a new mixtape with DJ Trauma entitled, #ialmostmadeamixtape. Estelle said that she wanted, "to put something out to say thank people don't think it's just about American Boy." #ialmostmadeamixtape features a diverse mix of genres from Hip Hop to Lovers Rock and shows Estelle's versatility. Maxsta feat Kano - East London Is Back (The Lost Verse)

East London Is Back (The Lost Verse) by Kano
Maxsta's ode to East London's Grime scene, "East London Is Back" got a late addition from Kano. After hearing Maxtsa's song, Kano added a verse to the song and has even called on Ghetts and Wiley to do the same. Kano's one of the MC's that Maxsta pays homage to on his Maxtape mixtape, so its fitting that he should appear on a song with Maxsta.

DJ Khaled feat. Various Artists - All I Do Is Win Remix (Video)

The feature list for this remix reads more like an essay than a list; Rick Ross, T-Pain, Diddy, Busta Rhymes, Swizz Beatz, Jadakiss, Nicki Minaj, Fabolous, Fat Joe and even DJ Khaled got a verse! None of them really shine but if pushed I'd say Busta Rhymes's verse stood out the most. "All I Do Is Win Remix" is available to download now from iTunes and

Tinchy Stryder - In My System (Video)

"In My System" is the lead single from Tinchy Stryder's forthcoming album, Third Strike. "Gangsta?" was just a 'street single'. "In My System" features Jodie Connor who you may recall from Roll Deep's number one "Good Times". Judging by Tinchy's recent track record, I wouldn't be surprised if this ended up on top of the charts. Not sure who produced this but it sounds like something that's bound to smash up dance floors in Ibiza.

Tinashe - Saved (Video)

Tinashe is back with a new video for his new single "Saved". The song and the video are reminiscent of Plan B's latest material and if Plan B's chart success is anything to go by this should do well in the charts. "Saved" is an interesting move from Tinashe's last single "Zambezi" and shows that Tinashe is not an artist that can be confined to one particular style which is exciting to see in an artist. "Saved" is released on 15th August.

Tinashe will be performing at this years Lovebox Festival in Victoria Park alongside Dizzee Rascal, Bombay Bicycle Club, Ellie Goulding and Todd Edwards amongst others. View the full lineup here, tickets are available to purchase now from Ticketmaster now.

Toni Braxton - Woman (Video)

Lately Toni Braxton has been busy rolling out several videos in succession ("Yesterday", "Hands Tied" & "Make My Heart") to support her new album, Pulse. After giving us a short break Toni's returned with her new single "Woman", which is a cover version of a Delta Goodrem song. This ones for the ladies. "Woman" is available to download now on iTunes and

Chris Brown Michael Jackson Tribute (2010 BET Awards Live)

LOS ANGELES, CA - JUNE 27: Musician Chris Brown performs a Michael Jackson tribute onstage during the 2010 BET Awards held at the Shrine Auditorium on June 27, 2010 in Los Angeles, California. (Photo by Frederick M. Brown/Getty Images)
Chris Brown finally got to pay tribute to the King of Pop, Michael Jackson, last night at the 2010 BET Awards show. After being dropped from last years BET Awards show due to his incident with Rihanna. Along with Kanye West, this was probably the best performance of the night (until Chris Brown had to sing). I had seen a similar routine by Chris Brown on YouTube last year but it was good to see it in better quality this time. R.I.P. MJ.

Eminem, B.o.B & Keyshia Cole - Airplanes Part2/ Not Afraid (2010 BET Awards Live)

LOS ANGELES, CA - JUNE 27: Rapper Eminem performs onstage during the 2010 BET Awards held at the Shrine Auditorium on June 27, 2010 in Los Angeles, California. (Photo by Frederick M. Brown/Getty Images)
The performance began as if it was B.o.B.'s set, with Keyshia Cole taking the part of Hayley Williams on "Airplanes". But it soon became apparent that it was in fact Eminem's slot and B.o.B was the guest. The set was fnished off nicely with "Not Afraid". Glad to see Marshall back at it.

Alicia Keys - Medley (2010 BET Awards Live)

LOS ANGELES, CA - JUNE 27: Musician Alicia Keys performs onstage during the 2010 BET Awards held at the Shrine Auditorium on June 27, 2010 in Los Angeles, California. (Photo by Frederick M. Brown/Getty Images)
Alicia Keys performed at last nights 2010 BET Awards and gave one of the performances of the night. The performance was in honour of Alicia receiving the Billboard award for artist of RnB the decade. Alicia killed it as always and showed just why she deserved the award.

Kanye West – Power (2010 BET Awards Live)

Kanye West opened the 2010 BET Awards last night with a performance of his new single "Power". He gave a performance which set the pace for the night's performances. Not only is "Power" a statement in itself but Yeezy also showed that he's still on top, through the set and the visuals. Yeezy definitely hasn't lost his showmanship.

Weekly Catch Up: Week 25 2010

So the USA got knocked out by Ghana last night-congratulations to Ghana. Today's big match (for those of us in the British Isles) is England v Germany. While victory isn't assured, England are almost certainly guaranteed to lose should it go to penalties. So I guess that England can learn something from the Asamoah Gyan and the Black Stars. Here's some Weekly CatchUp™ to accompany today's helping of footy:

The Roots got religious

Sali showed why they're the reigning champions of hide seek

Jammer and Boy Better Know what a night out with them is like

Meleka let us know what vocal Funky House would be without her

MTV followed Drake for a documentary while he made an album that was Better Than Good Enough

Donaeo showed why he doesn't drink Red Bull

Scorcher cleared the way for a sponsorship from Casio

Dip Set reunited and showed that they can still make good music

Chipmunk & Wretch 32 - More Fun (Mixtape)

Chipmunk and Wretch 32 got together to work on a mixtape and here it is, More Fun-The Mixtape. Wretch and Chip go in over 14 beats including SX's "Woo Riddim", Drake's "Find Your Love" and the "Hold Yuh Riddim". Featured artists include Skepta, Scorcher and Sincere amongst others.

Tracklist and FREE download link below...

The Diplomats (Cam’ron, Jim Jones & Juelz Santana) - Salute

Wow. The Diplomats (aka Dip Set) actually settled their differences and got back in the studio. The first song to surface from the newly reunited group is "Salute". Glad to say that Dip Set haven't lost their sound, even though "Salute" was produced by one of Cam'ron's new producers Araab Muzik. As long as we can get another album as decent as Diplomatic Immunity, I'll be happy.

Scorcher - It's My Time (Radio Rip)

MistaJam gave Scorcher's new single, "It's My Time", its first play yesterday. The song could have done with a stronger beat but it's all about the lyrics on this one. Will be nice to hear a remix to this or even the same lyrics over a different beat. "It's My Time" will be Schorcher's first single since singing to Geffen Records earlier this year. No word on a release date yet.

UPDATE: Scorcher - It's My Time (HD Video)

Bombay Bicycle Club - Flaws (Video)

I might be a little late on posting this video but it definitely deserves your attention. At first it seems as if it's just a video of an acoustic performance, but as the song goes on it becomes apparent that it is more than that. Rather than spoil it lets just say that David A. Tree did a good job directing this.

"Flaws" is available to download now on iTunes and Bombay Bicycle Club's new album, which also called Flaws, is released on July 12th.

Bombay Bicycle Club will be on an Acoustic Tour from 13th July to 23rd July, get your tickets now to ensure that you don't miss out:

Donae'o - I'm Fly (Video)

Here's the brand new video for Donaeo's latest banger, "I'm Fly" directed by Luke Van Boom. Simply put: NOBODY makes Funky House music like Doane'o does. This track is HARD. "I'm Fly" is the first single from Donae'o's self titled new album, Donae'o and will be released on iTunes on July 26th. EH!

Rusko - Hold On feat. Amber Coffman (Video)

Baby Blue feat Wretch 32 - Run (Video)

Here's the brand new video for Baby Blue's new single, "Run" directed by Carly Cussen. "Run" features Wretch 32 and was produced by Nutty P. This is a BANGER! "Run" is released on 5th July, enjoy the video until then.

Drake - Better Than Good Enough (Video)

Here's the Drake documentary that MTV just aired in the US, for your viewing pleasure (because MTV Base just isn't quick enough).

Watch Drake's 'Better Than Good Enough' Documentary is below.

Elephant Man - This Is How We Do It feat. Bounty Killer (Video)

Here's a brand new video from Elephant Man for his new single, "This Is How We Do It" directed by Gareth Cobran. "This Is How We Do It" features Bounty Killer and is the first time that the two artists have worked together in ten years. Just to confirm this is not a cover of Montell Jordan's 1995 hit of the same name. "This Is How We Do It" was produced by ZJ Chrome and features on the Mad Collab Riddim. "This Is How We Do It" is available to download now from iTunes and

Mick Boogie, Big Boi & Rick Ross - SouthernPlayalisticMaybachMusic (Mixtape)

Here's a brand new mixtape from the legendary Mick Boogie entitled, SouthernPlayalisticMaybachMusic. The mixtape features a mix (or mash ups depending on what you prefer) of Rick Ross and Big Boi's music, both lyrics and beats. Having more than a few of Mick Boogie's mixtapes I knew that this demanded my attention. Mick's blends are seamless, they sound almost as if Rick Ross and Big Boi actually laid down lyrics on these beats. There's even a "Shutterbug" remix!

Meleka - Miss Me

Here's a brand new track from Meleka, entitled "Miss Me". It's good to hear some new Funky House music, because there just hasn't been enough of it this year. "Miss Me" follows Meleka's massive single "Go" which was released last year and could be just as big.

Jammer - 10 Man Roll feat. Boy Better Know (Video)

Here's the brand new video for Jammer's new single, "10 Man Roll" featuring Boy Better Know (Skepta, JME, Frisco, Camalot). "10 Man Roll" is taken from Jammer's debut album, Jahmanji, which is released on 5th July. Jahmanji is available to pre-order from iTunes where you will also get a free "Party Animal" video & album digi-book.

B Live feat Newham Generals, Skepta & Trigga - Modern Remix (Produced by Silencer)

Here's some brand new music from B Live, "Modern Warfare Remix" is the remix to B Live's grime hit "Modern Warfare". "Modern Warfare Remix" features the Newham Generals, Skepta and Trigga and is produced by Teddy (aka Silencer) as was the original. "Modern Warfare Remix" will be released at the end of July on the Modern Warfare EP which will also feature the original.

Skepta - Oynama Sikidim Sikidim (Video)

Here's a new video from Skepta for his new song, "Oynama Sikidim Sikidim", directed by Staple House. Am not sure whether it will be his next single after "Rescue Me", as no details were available regarding a release date. Until then enjoy the video.

Dead Prez & DJ Drama - Revolutionary But Gangsta Grillz (Mixtape)

Here's the long awaited mixtape from Dead Prez and DJ Drama, Revolutionary But Gangsta Grillz. Need I say more?

David Banner & 9th Wonder - Slow Down feat. Heather Victoria (HD Video)

Here's the brand new video for David Banner and 9th Wonder's new single, "Slow Down" directed by David Banner and Illusive Media. Ever since I first heard "Slow Down", I have been looking forward to its release. "Slow Down" is the first single from David Banner and 9th Wonder's forthcoming album, Death of A Pop Star, which was originally planned to be a mixtape.

Princess Nyah - Butterflies (Video)

J. Cole - Who Dat (Video)

Here's a brand new video for J. Cole's new single "Who Dat" directed by BBGUN. J. Cole is one of the most exciting new Hip Hop artists to emerge within recent years. Although "Who Dat" isn't exactly my favourite song of his, it is great to see J. Cole finally taking the steps towards releasing an album. I saw behind the scenes pictures before the "Who Dat" video was released and have to admit that it turned out better than I thought it would be.

Sali - iCYA

Here's some new music from M.I.A. signees Sali, entitled "iCYA". Much like "ToldYa", the first song that I heard from the group, "iCYA" is both unique and hard to pin down to one genre. The song addresses a topic more serious than the uptempo beat suggests. It is this that Sali do so well; writing songs that are easy on the ear but still provide food for the brain. If Immortal Technique could sing, then he might sound something like this.

"iCYA" is available to download for FREE from Sali's website

The Roots - Dear God 2.0 (Video)

Here's the brand new video by The Roots for their new single "Dear God 2.0", directed by Jason Goldwatch. "Dear God 2.0" is a reworking (as you can probably tell by the 2.0 part of the name) of Monsters of Folk’s “Dear God”. The song is taken from The Roots's new album, How I Got Over, which is released in the UK next week.

You can preview the album by visiting their Def Jam site.

Natty - Gunman (Video)

Here's a new video shot by SB.TV, featuring Natty performing a new song titled "Gunman". It's a shame that this is only a shirt clip, as it's probably the best A64 that I have seen yet. I first heard of Natty when I heard "Badman" and fully enjoyed his Man Like I album, but I haven't heard anything new from him since then. So it would have been great to hear the song in its entirety.

If you want to hear some more new music from Natty, he has a new EP out entitled Things I've Done which is only available to purchase through Pledge Music.

Weekly Catch Up: Week 24 2010

Another week has passed and we saw another poor performance from England, which left their qualification to the next round in doubt. At least I can guarantee you a healthy, low calorie serving of Weekly CatchUp™:

Drake and Coldplay reminded us that October is not the warmest month.

Plague returned with a new sound, a new song and a new name.

Maxsta let everyonoe know that East London Is Back

B.o.B. and Hayley Williams went plane spotting

Kelis got excited about Fireworks

Dr. Dre and Jay-Z's song from Detox leaked

Busy Signal - Peace Reign (HD Video)

Here's the brand new video for Busy Signal's new single "Peace Reign" featuring Ranoy Gordon on guitar and Nikki Burt on harmonies. The song is a step away from the reggae music that Busy Signal normally makes as this is an acoustic track."The song is a plea for peace and an end to the crime and violence that has taken over not just Jamaica but other parts of the world." No word on a release date so enjoy the video for now.

Gucci Mane and DJ Drama - Mr Zone 6 (Mixtape)

Here's Gucci Mane newest mixtape, Mr Zone 6, presented by DJ Drama. The mixtape features Bun B, Wacka Flocka Flame and Yo Gotti.

Donae'o, Detox & Igniter - Hustle Hard (Video)

Here's something new from Donae'o, "Hustle Hard" featuring two artists that he has signed to his label, Detox and Igniter. The hook sounds a kinda similar to "Party Hard", but the track will no doubt sound good in a dance. Enjoy.

Uffie feat. Pharrell Williams - ADD SUV (Video)

Here's the brand new video for Uffie's new single "ADD SUV" directed by Nathalie Canguilhem and featuring Pharrell Williams. "ADD SUV" is taken from Uffie's debut album, Sex Dreams and Denim Jeans which is available to purchase now. Apart from "ADD SUV" featuring Pharrell, I cant see why people where hyped about this single. For those that think otherwise, "ADD SUV" is available to download now from iTunes and

N*E*R*D - Hot N' Fun feat. Nelly Furtado (Video)

Here's the brand new video for N.E.R.D's new single "Hot N' Fun" directed by Jonas Akerlund and featuring Nelly Furtado. "Hot N' Fun" is the first single from N.E.R.D's forthcoming album Nothing which will be released later this year. There isn't a UK release date scheduled for "Hot N' Fun" as of yet so enjoy the video for now.

NEW YORK - FEBRUARY 09: Actor Scott 'Kid' Cudi attends the Cinema Society and HBO screening of 'How to Make it in America' at Landmark's Sunshine Cinema on February 9, 2010 in New York City. (Photo by Theo Wargo/Getty Images)
Here's some brand new music from Kid Cudi, "REVOFEV" will be the first single from Cudi's forthcoming album Man on the Moon: The Legend of Mr. Rager. "REVOFEV" was produced by Plain Pat and features strings by Larry Gold. The new Kid Cudi album can't come soon enough-that was my thought after listening to his phenomenal debut album. Not what I would expect from the lead single, but Kid Cudi has hardly been doing the 'expected'.

Drake x Cookin Soul x Don Cannon - Thank Us Later (Mixtape)

Here's a new remix album titled Thank Us Later by Cookin' Soul and Don Cannon featuring remixes of songs from Drake's album Thank Me Later. I know that this is the second Drake mixtape that I have posted this week, but trust me this also worth downloading. The remixes include new beats and additional vocals (for example Light Up feat Jay-Z & Notorious B.I.G and Find Your Love feat Rick Ross). These additional touches help add another layer to what is already a great album.

Don't forget to support good music and purchase Drake's debut album Thank Me Later if you haven't done so already. Thank Me Later is available from iTunes, and

SigNif - The Transition (Free Album)

Welcome Intro by SigNif
Here's some new music I came across from an artist called SigNif via my inbox. The Transition is her debut album which she is offering as a FREE downloadThe Transition's sound is reminiscent of Hip Hop's golden era in the early nineties and provides a refreshing alternative to the Hip Hop of today which sounds a lot like R&B at times. Simply put SigNif's The Temptation deserves your ears, listen above and you can find the FREE download link below.

Video: Kelis - 4th Of July (Fireworks)

Here's a brand new video for Kelis's new single "4th Of July (Fireworks)" directed by Kelis, John Rankin Waddell and Nicole Ehrlich. The video for "4th Of July (Fireworks)" was filmed in a desert outside of Los Angeles marks the second release form Kelis's current album Flesh Tone. If you haven't got the album already I suggest you do so, it's one of the albums of the year so far. "4th Of July (Fireworks)" is available to download now on iTunes and

Katy Perry - California Gurls ft Snoop Dogg (Video)

Here's the brand new video for Katy Perry's new single "California Gurls" featuring Snoop Dogg. "California Gurls" is currently number 1 on the Billboard chart in the U.S. but is not yet released in the UK. The song is produced by Dr. Luke, Max Martin, and Benny Blanco and according to Katy Perry, the song is LA's answer to Jay-Z and Alicia Keys' ode to New York "Empire State of Mind". This video left me with the Snoop face (3:29) after watching it. "California Gurls" is released on June 21st in the UK and is available to pre-order from

Dot Rotten - Haunt Me (Radio rip)

Here's some new music from Dot Rotten. "Haunt Me" is his new single and is set to feature on his new CD Love, War, Rock & Roll which will be released later this year. Once again Dot Rotten proves that he has the ability to do what many MC's can't and that's make a good song. Props to Logan Sama who gave "Haunt Me" its first play on radio last night.

B.o.B. - Airplanes feat. Hayley Williams (HD Video)

Here's the brand new video from B.o.B. for his new single "Airplanes" featuring Paramore's lead singer Hayley Williams. "Airplanes" is the second single from B.o.B.'s debut album B.o.B Presents: The Adventures of Bobby Ray and follows his UK chart topping debut single "Nothin' On You". There are two versions of this song, the other features Eminem so it was surprising he didn't go with that version for the video. Either way both versions are good songs and I guess this version's length is more suited to radio.

"Airplanes" is available to download now from iTunes and

Maxsta - East London Is Back (Video)

Here's the brand new video from Maxsta for his new single "East London is Back", produced by Danny Weed. "East London is Back" is the first single to be taken from Maxtsa's latest mixtape Maxtape. There are a whole heap of songs on the Maxtape that could follow as the next single as the Maxtape is full of bangers. "East London is Back" is available to download from iTunes and

Plague - Love Doctor (Video)

Here's a brand new video from Plague for his new single "Love Doctor", directed by Risky Roadz. Many of you may remember Plague from the Pay As U Go Cartel and since then we haven't heard much from him. Plague is back with a new sound and has changed his name to Lero Browne, maybe with an eye on a commercial audience. This would have been an even better song without the use of Auto Tune, but hey. It's good to hear something new from Plague Lero Browne.

Drake - Find Your Love (Remix)

Here's a brand new remix of Drake's current single "Find Your Love". Drake's current single is mixed with the "Hold Yuh Riddim" to form a more upbeat version of "Find Your Love". The beat and vocals sound like the perfect match and unlike the original to Drizzy's single I can actually see this version being played in the club.

Monday, 14 June 2010

Mark Ronson - Bang Bang Bang feat Q-Tip & MNDR (Video)

Here's the new video from Mark Ronson. "Bang Bang Bang" is Mark's new single and features Q-Tip and MNDR. "Bang Bang Bang" is a Hip Hop song with Drum & Bass beat on the chorus. It's always good to hear Q-Tip and MNDR reminds me of Fearne Cotton (maybe that's why I like this). "Bang Bang Bang" is the first single from Mark's new album, The Record Collection. "Bang Bang Bang" will be released in the UK on July 11th

S-X - Grime EP (Mixtape)

Here's something new from Woo Riddim producer, S-X. Grime EP is the latest mixtape from the seventeen year old and consists of 10 Grime instrumentals. Ideal for budding MC's or producers looking to learn from the producer of one of this years biggest beats.

Tracklist and FREE download link below...

Scarface - Dopeman Music (Video)

Here's the new video from Scarface for his new single "Dopeman Music", produced by Jake One. It sure is good to hear from Scarface, especially since there was talk of him retiring. "Dopeman Music" is taken from Scarface's latest project of the same name which is available to download now from

Eminem, Royce Da 5′9″ & Mr. Porter - Tim Westwood Freestyle (HD VIDEO)

Drake & Coldplay - October's Very Cold (Mixtape)

Here's a brand new mixtape that I came across today, October's Very Cold from Drake and Coldplay. The mixtape features Drake songs blended with beats that feature Coldplay samples, produced by Chi Duly. Some of the blends do sound a little out of beat, but its the moments when the concept, the blends and the production work that make this a mixtape worth having. This should suffice until tomorrow when Drake's debut album, Thank Me Later is released.

Weekly Catch Up: Week 23 2010

The world cup has finally begun and so far we've had a mix of matches, both good and bad, but I'd say that the opening match between South Africa and Mexico was the most entertaining. With Brazil and Spain still to play, Things Can Only Get Better. To accompany that extra large portion portion of footy, may I recommend this week's dose of Weekly CatchUp™:

TiRon gave us a free helping of MSTRD

Bluey Robinson showed Drake how his own song should be sung

G FrSH revealed that he is not just a rapper; he is also the Black Batman

Sali, M.I.A. and GoldieLocks ToldYa what the government never told you

Roll Deep - Green Light

Here's some new music from Roll Deep. Their new single is entitled "Green Light" and got its first play on MistaJam's BBC Radio 1 show. "Green Light" follows Roll Deep's first UK number 1 hit "Good Times" and I think it could be an even bigger hit. Let the Good Times commence...

R Kelly - World Cup Opening Ceremony (Video)

Yesterday was the first day of the 2010 FIFA World Cup and as part of the opening ceremony, R Kelly performed “Sign Of Victory” with the Soweto Spiritual Singers at Soccer City, Johannesburg. This wouldn't make a bad music video for the song, if you ask me. “Sign Of Victory” is the official 2010 FIFA World Cup anthem and is available to download from iTunes and

via RR

Kelly Rowland - Commander (Video)

Here's the new video for Kelly Rowland's new single, "Commander", directed by Masashi Muto. "Commander" is Kelly Rowland's first single from Kelly's forthcoming as yet untitled third solo album. "Commander" is produced by David Guetta, who also produced "When Love Takes Over" which was a UK number 1 for the duo. For some reason the video reminds me of Britney's "Oops!...I Did It Again" video, maybe its the red leather suit?

"Commander" is available to download now from iTunes and

Drake - Freestyle on Tim Westwood's 1Xtra Show (Video)

Yesterday we brought you the audio and today we bring you the video footage from Drake's freestyle on Tim Westwood's 1Xtra show yesterday. There's some good bars here and no Blackberry in sight! Drake's debut album, Thank Me Later is released in the UK on Monday 14th June and available to pre-order from now.

Kil Ripkin - Not You (Video)

Here's some new music from an artist I came across a few days ago, named Kil Ripkin. This is the video to his new single, "Not You" directed by Science Projects and produced by Eric G. It is videos and songs like this that Hip Hop needs more of in its current over saturated state. A good beat, good song and good message; that has to be commended.

Wideboys & Majestic - In The VIP (Remix) feat. B-Live & Boy Better Know (Video)

Here's the brand new video for Wideboys & Majestic's new single, "In The VIP (Remix)" featuring B-Live & Boy Better Know directed by Staple House. Another good video from Staple House. This one is a vibesers, look out for it on a dance floor near you soon. I think this one's a winner.

Ciara feat. Andre 3000 & Bei Maejor - Ride (Remix)

Ciara is back with a new remix to her latest single "Ride" featuring Andre 3000 and Bei Maejor (who also produced the song). For what it's worth, I prefer the original beat but its good to see remixes change beat as too many [Hip Hip] remixes use the same beat. CiCi if you're reading, I'd like to quote Bei Major's whole verse (after the diamond rings and designer clothes references) just, "let me know."

MC Versatile feat. Griminal - I'm The Man (Video)

Here's the new video for MC Versatile's new single, "I'm The Man" featuring Griminal and produced by Lil Silva. The beat for "I'm The Man" is BIG. The song is almost like a refimix to Nas's "You're Da Man" (you gotta admit the choruses are similar). It's a shame Griminal only got one verse on this because he provides one of the highlights of the track. Look out for this on a dance floor near you soon.

South Africa, the hosts for the 2010 FIFA World Cup, threw a concert last night to celebrate the biggest event in the footballing calendar at Soweto's Orlando Stadium. Performers included Alicia Keys, Shakira, Black Eyed Peas, John Legend and Angelique Kidjo amongst others.

Here's a new remix to M.I.A.'s new single "XXXO" featuring Jay-Z. I make this the third time that I've heard the two artists on the same song "Boyz Remix", "Swagger Like Us" being the others. I think its safe to say they like working with each other. Enjoy

"XXXO (Remix)" will be available to download now from July 12th on iTunes.

Preeya Kalidas - Shimmy feat. Mumzy Stranger (Video)

Here's a new video from Preeya Kalidas (better known as Amira from Eastenders), for her new single "Shimmy" featuring Mumzy Stranger. "Shimmy" combines desi beats with an RnB sound to form a song that reminds me of Beyonce and Sean Paul's "Baby Boy". Speaking of Sean Paul, Mumzy Stranger is being tipped as the UK's answer to Sean Paul. I'm not sure how accurate that is, but you can see why some people are making that claim. "Shimmy" is expected to be released on July 26th, enjoy the video 'till then.

Diddy-Dirty Money feat Tinie Tempah & Tinchy Stryder - Hello Good Morning (UK Remix)

Here's a brand new remix of Diddy-Dirty Money's latest single "Hello Good Morning" featuring Tinie Tempah & Tinchy Stryder. This is the best that I've heard Tinie Tempah and Tinchy Stryder spit for a while, shame it took Diddy to bring this out of them. Funny how the remix features two artists from London yet it's called a UK remix. Now all I need is Skepta's remix...enjoy.

Eminem, Royce Da 5′9″ & Mr. Porter - Tim Westwood Freestyle (Video Part 3)

Here's the last part of the video footage from when Eminem recorded a freetsyle with Tim Westwood accompanied by Royce Da 5′9″, Mr. Porter and Alchemist on the buttons.

Drake - Freestyle on Tim Westwood's 1Xtra Show

LOS ANGELES, CA - JUNE 28: Singer Drake poses in the press room during the 2009 BET Awards held at the Shrine Auditorium on June 28, 2009 in Los Angeles, California. (Photo by Frazer Harrison/Getty Images)

Drake dropped by on Tim Westwood's 1Xtra show this afternoon and spat a quick freestyle. The freestyle was tight, Drizzy even fitted in a few UK references but whether it was an actual freestyle-who knows? People were surprised after they saw footage of Drake's freestyle on Hot97, because he was reading lyrics from his phone. Word is that this is straight off the dome; I'll believe it when it see the video evidence.

Lowkey - The Warning (Chipmunk Diss)

Here's a new track from LowKey entitled "The Warning", which uses P Diddy's "Victory" beat. The subject of the track is Chipmunk (the MC not the cartoon), after he made some remarks about Wiley and Dot Rotten. LowKey claimed that the song is "not a diss," but it doesn't sound like LowKey is singing Chipmunk's praises. Here's what LowKey had to say about the track, comments are in reverse order.

Wiz Khalifa - Mezmorized (Video)

Here's a new video for Wiz Khalifa's new single, "Mezmorized", directed by Bill Paladino. "Mezmorized" is taken from Wiz Khalifa's latest mixtape, Kush & Orange Juice. Not much to say here apart from download Kush & Orange Juice if you already haven't, it's FREE!

Lil Wayne - Light Up (Live From Rikers Island)

Here's a new verse from Lil Wayne rapping on "Light Up" which is a song from Drake's debut album, Thank Me Later, which is released next week on The album version features Jay-Z, but this is a verse that Weezy had written while incarcerated on Rikers Island. Drake called this, "one of the most incredible Lil Wayne verses I have ever heard," and I'd have to agree. Hopefully we can get a better quality version of this, but for now here's the telephone recorded version.
