RIP Guru (1966-2010)

Yesterday we lost a true legend, Keith Elam aka Guru. Aged just 43, he lost his battle with cancer, after being ill for just over a year.

UPDATE: DJ Premier issued a statement read it here & Guru's family issued a statement; read it here.

Yesterday Solar made a statement to AHH and attached a letter that was "written by Guru".

There is some controversy as to whether the letter was actually written by Guru, but rather than discuss that I would rather celebrate his life and what he brought us. That being said click below to hear some of your're favourite DJ's paying tribute to Guru with their tribute mixes.

Video: Toni Braxton - Yesterday ft. Trey Songz

New single from singer–songwriter (and my future wifey) Toni Braxton, featuring Trey Songz. The song is taken from her new album, Pulse, which will be released on 10th May according to HMV. It seems like "Ysterday" will only be released on vinyl in the UK 3rd May accroding to HMV.

Audio: Skepta - Rescue Me

Mistajam just played the world exclusive of Skepta's new single "Rescue Me". The song is produced by Agent X, the duo who also produced Skepta's top 30 hit "Bad Boy". No details on when "Rescue Me" will be released as of yet.

I was pleasantly surprised by this and would like for this to do well in the charts when released. Not only because I like it, but also so it can show grime artists that they don't have to dilute their material in order to achieve chart success.
